On August 16, we loaded up our SUV and headed to
North Carolina. Breeley did really well in the car until we got stuck in
traffic. We decided to spent the night in Virginia. We already had
a hotel booked and paid for in Williamsburg but with traffic being so terrible
we had to stop sooner.. Breeley went swimming for the first time and
LOVED it!
The next morning we finished the 5 hour drive
and arrived at our beach house, Ocean 9 in Waves, North Carolina. Breeley
dipped your littles toes in the ocean for the first time and were amazed by the
feel of the waves. She looked scared but never cried or made a peep.
We explored Jennette's Pier and Aquarium in Nags
Head. You loved the aquarium. We also went to the Bodie Island
lighthouse. It was great to spend the week with family. We enjoyed
morning walks-I found the best coffee shop with the most delicious frozen coffee
and many seafood dinners as a group (Captain George’s, Stingray’s and Dirty
Dick’s Crab Shack.
