Fun Filled Thanksgiving at the National Harbor

We had a truly wonderful Thanksgiving in Washington D.C.  The resort we stayed at, Gaylord National Hotel was transformed into a Winter Wonderland/Christmas on the Potomac.  The main feature, Ice! brought to life in this walk-through winter wonderland carved from over TWO-million pounds of ice.   The exhibit was a very frigid 9°,  even in the parkas we were given to wear!

Ron was thrilled to say "I'm coming into Reagan!"

After lunch we went to the Ice Exhibit

Hello!? Pop!

The water was a bit cold in my opinion, but we still swam a few times.

Thanksgiving was a warm, sunny day.  We walked down to the National Harbor.

After our ferris wheel ride, we walked and played along the shore of the Potomac.

Both girls wanted to take their shoes off in the sand.  It wasn't that warm, though!

Since it was Thanksgiving day, there was only one restaurant open.  We decided to have a picnic instead!
